  • General musicianship skills are improved
  • Score reading skills are encouraged/developed
  • Students experience the positive process of regular practice leading to improved performance
  • Opportunities are made available to perform, enter examinations, compete in festivals & competitions, join school or external singing clubs/choirs and/or sing in city-wide projects
  • Confidence increases and self-esteem levels rise
  • The voice may be used as the main instrument in GCSE or A-Level Music practical components

Testimonials

Sarah Stone is an asset to my career in Musical Theatre. Not only does she train my MT side, but she challenges my abilities with different styles of music, betters my knowledge with sheet music and piano lingo. i do a lot of Musical Theatre lessons throughout the week, but Sarah is by far one of the best.

— Frankie, aged 14.

To take a man in his sixties who last sung 50 years ago as a choirboy to Grade 8 in less than a year takes great skill, and not a little patience. Sarah’s encouragement and expertise gave me real confidence and self-belief. On top of that, she is one of the nicest people I have ever met – and we had so many laughs.

— Simon.

Sarah Stone is a truly exceptional singing teacher – professional, supportive, and wonderfully enthusiastic. Her lessons are both enjoyable and stretching, underpinned by a solid foundation in technique and vocal health. Sarah has had a particularly meaningful impact on my son Beau. During a time of personal grief following the loss of his father, his lessons with Sarah became a source of light and joy. Her kind, uplifting approach made each session something he genuinely looked forward to. Now I’ve joined Beau in having lessons with Sarah as an adult, and I can honestly say she has helped me rediscover and grow my confidence and vocal ability. Her teaching style is inspiring and personalised, and she has guided us both in reaching personal milestones we once thought were out of reach. Whether you’re young or older, a beginner or experienced, I highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking to explore and develop their voice in a safe, skilled and encouraging environment.

— Mary.

I’ve been having lessons with Sarah for the last two years, and honestly, she’s been amazing. She’s really friendly and caring, and made me feel comfortable from the start. Before I met her, I didn’t even realise how much I could do with my voice. She’s helped me to take it to a whole new level and taught me how to properly control it like an instrument. It’s made a massive difference to how I sing. She’s also helped boost my confidence, not just when I’m performing, but in general too. I used to get nervous a lot more, and now I actually enjoy being on stage. Thanks to her support, I got a distinction in my LAMDA Level 6 exam, which I’m so proud of! She’s also made some incredible opportunities possible for me, like performing at the Sunshine Festival and coming first at the Worcester Creative Arts Festival, where I got to sing at Marrs Bar. Both experiences were unforgettable and something I now know I’d love to do more of in the future. I’d 100% recommend her to anyone who wants to grow as a singer. she’s the best singing teacher I’ve had.
